About Us

Company History
Bells Domestics was originally called ‘Sound Vision’ founded in 1960 by Stanley Bell Sr. and traded in sales repairs, servicing and rentals of televisions and gramophones.
Our original shop is still located at 335 Harehills Lane, LS9 6AX.

In 1982, Philip Bell Jr. joined the company as the business expanded into the white goods sector.

Philip was trained on front loading washing machines, cookers and twin tubs and became an expert refrigeration engineer. This knowledge became invaluable in the sale and repair of appliances.

As time progressed, the white goods side of our business flourished and we eventually took on more staff and opened up a factory.
The next stage of development was in 2000 when we opened a showroom for new/graded appliances at 13 Cowper Road LS9 7AP. Subsequently, the Harehills Lane branch displayed our factory reconditioned stock.

In 2009 we purchased the adjacent property to 13 Cowper Road which is a 25,000 sq ft building! Renovations were extensive, taking a year to complete and finally 2011 was when we hailed the new opening of our Superstore. This building is now the head office of Bells Domestics, incorporating one of the largest showrooms in Yorkshire, as well as our call centre, repair workshop and spares department.

The Present
Bells Domestics is still a family run business to this day, with 3 family members at the helm and many years of combined experience enabling us to provide a superior service in sales, spares and repairs of domestic appliances with a customer service which is second to none.
